Investment for Affordable Housing in Cornwall

March 2023

Major development delivery programme across Cornwall

Coastline Housing has received £22.8 million of grant funding from Homes England and secured a further £50 million to fund the building of 270 more affordable homes in Cornwall.

The total of nearly £73 million will see the housing charity building homes at a number of locations throughout Cornwall for people who are in housing need.

Following the allocation of the Homes England grant, Coastline signed up to a new government guaranteed loan agreement which saw the Cornish housing charity secure an additional £50 million.

We are delighted to be part of this major development delivery programme across Cornwall, currently working alongside Coastline Housing and EBC Partnerships Limited on the St Erth scheme.

Retrofit knowledge is strengthened within Taylor Lewis

We are delighted to congratulate five of the TL Team who have passed their Retrofit exams over the past month. Guy has passed his Level 4 Retrofit Assessor course, the role of a Retrofit Assessor is to survey properties and prepare a report in-line with a Retrofit Coordinator’s requirements. Shannon passed her Level 3 Award in Domestic Retrofit Advice, the course unravelled the complex process of retrofit enabling Shannon to talk to residents about achievable retrofit outcomes of their property, and Gina, Karen and H who have all passed their Level 2 UDR Assessment, providing a solid introduction to the installation of whole-house retrofit measures to domestic buildings.

These courses run by The Retrofit Academy and NOCN Group has equipped our colleagues with the knowledge to provide best practice and advice of energy retrofit measures for our clients going forward.
