The completion of the steel frame this month marks a key milestone in the construction of 224 Youth Zone, which is set to open in 2026 in South Bristol, being built on the land adjacent to Hartcliffe Way. The steel frame and first floor deck have been completed, the roof is about to go on, and cladding work due to start soon. The Youth Zone is set to be completed in 2026, opening in the late spring/summer, once finished, the state-of-the-art facility will provide thousands of young people with access to high quality youth work, sports, creative activities, skills development and wellbeing support, all under one roof. The site is being built with our partners OnSide and Galliford Try, using £8.8m from the government’s Youth Investment Fund, as well as contributions from Bristol City Council and St James’ Place Charitable Foundation.
