Valeport is a family company, designing and manufacturing high quality instrumentation for the oceanographic, hydrometric and hydrographic markets throughout the world. Their consistent expansion led to them commissioning ambitious new facilities at their base in Totnes.

The 1,600m2 Reade building more than doubles their previous accommodation and now houses all the companies production facilities along with offices, testing and storage facilities.

This 3 storey, steel framed building was carefully designed to fit within its environment with the cladding detailing being sympathetic to its historic industrial setting.

The project required close liaison with the Environment Agency and the works included a riverside boardwalk, car parking facilities and reinforcement of the tidal riverbank.
