Hyne Town House located in Strete, Dartmouth provided a new purpose built extension and full refurbishment of the existing historic building comprising many ensuite bedrooms, new lounge areas, as well as associated external works and car parking areas. Taylor Lewis acted as Quantity Surveyors on this Extra Care facility for dementia patients.

Mendip Care Home located in Wells provided a new 78 bedroom purpose built Residential Care Home with 25 Close Care Apartments and associated works at the site of the former Mendip Hospital. Taylor Lewis acted as Employers Agent and CDM Coordinator on this project which involved the demolition of existing buildings in a residential area. The scheme was carefully balanced to cater for the needs of a range of occupiers including both dementia and more able residents.

Silverleigh Care Home located in the heart of Axminster has provided a new purpose built extension and alterations to the existing building to make available a further 10 additional bedrooms and increase the size of the residents facilities. The completed project includes a dining room, cinema room, hairdressers and enhancements to the rear gardens for use by the residents. The home was occupied throughout so careful project management was required to ensure the safe continued running of the home, with close liaison between Taylor Lewis, The Care Home and The Contractor.
